Director & Designer

Arjan was captivated by the magic of theatre from a very young age. What began with performing on stage gradually evolved into a growing fascination with the creative process behind the scenes. After completing a vocational training in musical theatre, he graduated in 2023 as an Artist Educator in Theatre and Media from ArtEZ University of the Arts in Zwolle.

During his studies, he was already actively involved in several productions as a director or assistant director, as well as a set and lighting designer. His interest in the technical side of theatre makes him a versatile maker who can contribute in many areas.

In addition to working extensively with existing material, Arjan also creates his own work. His original pieces often explore themes related to LGBTQIA+ experiences.
